Paper Mache Tree

paper mache tree
What is the best material to mimic the grass in a sculpture?

I'm creating a sculpture of a tree and want to use a base of synthetic grass set in a clay pot. The tree itself is (very roughly) between 3 and 6 feet tall. So essentially, I'm looking for something that is not will be disproportionate to what is going to look like a fully grown tree is tall. I thought about trying to moss …. but I'm creating a sculpture of a gallery and do not rely on the use of any living organism in my sculpture … the tree itself is paper mache on the wire. Anyway, suggestions for an aspirant to the grass?

Book. If you are using paper sculpture, the use is for all parts of the sculpture. Explore their environment. Push to the limit. The use of plastic grass or other will make your sculpture look less professional. I also use paper on the outside of the pot. Experiment. Maybe you want to turn your boat on a grassy mound to the tree looks as if it were truly planted on the floor of the gallery. Go for it. You learn a lot by exploring their environment.
